How do I report something that needs fixing?
Sign in and choose Report an issue. Pick the category, describe what's happening, and submit. You'll get a confirmation straight away and a notification the moment a pro accepts.
What should I include so it gets fixed first time?
Photos, and a sentence about when it happens. A pro sees your photos before they arrive, so a picture of the leak, the model sticker, or the breaker panel is often the difference between one visit and two. If it's intermittent, say what triggers it.
How do I choose a time?
You'll be offered a set of windows and pick the ones that work for you. Offer more than one if you can — a pro takes whichever fits, and the more options you give the sooner someone lands on one.
What counts as an emergency?
No heat or no hot water, no power, an active leak, anything you can't shut off, a security or safety problem, or anything actively causing damage. Emergencies skip scheduling — report it and it goes straight out. If someone is in danger, call emergency services first.
Do I have to be home?
No. Add access instructions when you report — a key at the office, a lockbox, a gate code, or permission to enter. Your property manager authorizes entry under your lease.
How do I know what's happening?
You'll be notified when a pro accepts, when they're on the way, and when the job is finished. Open the request at any time to see where it stands.
What do I get when it's done?
A record of the visit: what the pro found, what they did, and their photos of the finished work. It stays in your completed list.
Something's still wrong after the visit.
Open the completed request and tell us, or email [email protected] with the request number. Follow-ups on recent work are handled as a continuation of the original job, not a new report.
Will this cost me anything?
No. Grovr never bills residents. Reporting an issue doesn't create a charge to you.

For pros

How do I get set up?
You'll need your business details, your trade licence, and proof of insurance. Once those are verified and your background check clears, you can turn on availability and start receiving offers.
How do offers work?
When a job matches your trade and area, it comes to you with a countdown. Accept it and it's yours; decline it and it moves straight to the next pro. Declining is fine — it's better for everyone than sitting on a job you can't take.
Why did my availability turn off on its own?
Availability switches off automatically when offers go unanswered, so residents aren't left waiting on someone who isn't picking up. Turn it back on from your dashboard whenever you're ready. If you think it switched off in error, email [email protected].
My account is paused. What now?
A pause isn't a removal. Email [email protected] and we'll walk through what happened and get you switched back on.
How do I set my hours or take time off?
Open Schedule. Click a day to set hours for it, or drag across several days to set them all at once — work your normal hours, shorter hours, or mark the day unavailable. Jobs already booked stay booked; marking a day off only stops new offers.
How do I run a job on site?
Open the job and tap Start driving when you set off, then I've arrived when you get there. Your workspace has notes, a checklist, photos, and a receipt reader. Your time on site runs from the moment you mark yourself arrived.
How do receipts work?
Photograph the receipt in the Receipt tool and it reads the merchant, date, amount, and type for you. Check the fields before you save — if it can't read the receipt, type the details in yourself. Every field stays editable.
How do I finish a job?
Add your conclusion note and photos, then submit. Photos of finished work are required — they're what the property team and the resident see, and they're what protects you if the work is ever questioned.
The operator declined my times.
Offer a fresh set. If a schedule can't be agreed after a couple of rounds, the job is reassigned so the resident isn't left waiting — you'll get a notification explaining it, and it isn't a mark against you.
Where do I see what I've earned?
Your dashboard shows today and this week, and every completed job carries its own breakdown. Questions about a specific payment go to [email protected].

For property teams

A request came in. What do I do with it?
Open it, check it's right, and approve and dispatch. Grovr finds a pro who covers that trade and area. You can also raise a work order yourself without waiting for a resident to report it.
What do the statuses mean?
New is waiting on you. Active is assigned and in motion. Completed has the full record attached — photos, notes, the pro, and the invoice. Cancelled is closed with nothing owed.
How do I add a property or a unit?
Go to Properties, add the building, then its units. Requests are raised against a unit, so it's worth getting them in before you invite residents.
How do residents get access?
Invite them from Residents. They get a link, set a password, and can report against their unit. You can revoke access at any time.
How does scheduling work?
For scheduled work the pro offers times and you approve one. For reactive work the resident's availability drives it. Emergencies aren't scheduled — they're dispatched immediately.
Can I choose which pro goes?
Grovr matches on trade, coverage, and availability. If a property needs a specific pro or a specific pro excluded, email [email protected] and we'll set it on the account.
What do I get when a job is finished?
A complete record: the original report, the pro's notes, before-and-after photos, copies of any receipts, and the invoice.
I have a question about an invoice.
Email [email protected] with the job number and we'll go through it line by line.
Who can see what?
Residents see the work and never see billing. Pros see what they need for the job they've accepted. Your team sees the properties it manages. The detail is in our Privacy Policy.
